Topic: Problem with octamic II to Fireface UC via ADAT

Hello all,
I have an octamic II connected to a Fireface UC via an optical cable (sync external from the soundcard through a clock cable). The rig worked swiftly for years. Today, it just stopped.

Now the octamic works by itself (the led indicators light up as usual upon microphone signal), and so does the fireface (all analog inputs work as usual). The problem is that any ADAT signal from the octamic does not make it to the the TotalMix app (hence the soundcard).

I have changed the optical cable with no luck. I don't know what else should I try and cannot know if its the octamic's problem or the fireface's. Any suggestions?

Could you show a screenshot of the Fireface USB Settings app when the Octamic is connected via ADAT and powered on? Then we can see if your options are set correctly and if any input signal is detected at the optical in.

Note that I did not changed anything in it, and everything worked normally a couple of days ago.

Nevertheless the Input Status clearly shows that there is no input signal at all. Check that the red light cable from the OctaMic is plugged into the optical INPUT of the UC.

You can also easily check the UC itself by connecting optical in and out with just one cable (loopback).
