Topic: Performance of Fireface UC on M1 Mac

Dear all.

I am running a Fireface UC (with current firmware and current driver).
The drivers are working now.

My issue is the performance / CPU load / latency I get in this setup.

I am running Ableton Live 11.0.12 in Rosetta Mode (due to missing VSTs from NI and others).

In this setup the performance of the RME drivers is significantly worse than when using the headphone output of the macbook pro in comparison. A heavy project runs well with core audio drivers and headphone output but is unusable with the RME drivers.

Is it normal (for everybody) that the drivers function so badly?
Or is it just on my machine?
Or does it come from running Live in Rosetta and not native for M1?

PS: I have a MacBook Pro (16", 2021), running with OS 12.3 with a Apple M1 Max chip.

Please mind that the driver does not "perform" anything in terms of rendering CPU-heavy projects. It is in no way involved.
Whatever the issue might be here, it's not the driver as such, nor the UC hardware.
Is the issue reproducible with other software?
