Topic: ADI 2 DAC jitter from foobar2000 but less frequent with musicbee

hi all,

i have been having jitter every once in a while from foobar2000. however, musicbee is far less frequent.
both players use asio.
i updated firmware and driver to the latest versions and also tried to increase buffer, but no change.
this unit is ess version.
there is no jitter when replaced with another dac.
i have not heard jitter from non asio output.
any idea why?

regards

No idea how to solve your problem, but curious:
Is the jitter so bad, you can actually hear it? If so, what does it sound like?

I still have to hear myself what (moderate) jitter sounds like typically. I have no equipment to deliberately provoke jitter, so I am clueless which digital chains in my systems actually have jitter, and how it deteriorates my sound.

What do you mean by jitter?
How does that sound?

Puzzling.

Hearing Jitter "come and go" is not something I'm familiar with.   RME's SteadyClock has in a Proven Manner, effectively REMOVED "Jitter" from those Topics discussed here.

Whatever...

i don‘t think we are talking about this type of jitter.
I guess the topic starter has an interrupted signal, but might already have solved the issue.
