Topic: Using Phones as line out.

I have the ADI-2 DAC fs using Aeon 2 closed headphones.   

I'm running the ADI-2 with mute line off with auto ref level on and find this gives me additional headroom vs hi-power mode when set to phones output.

My question is this: Do i risk damaging the headphones driving them this way?

No, but your observation is wrong nonetheless. The max level/power at the headphone output is not influenced from the line output. The specs outlined in the manual apply in any way.

Hi there,

I'm sending this message because I am interested in using the phone output 3/4 of my ADI-2 PRO FS R as a line output. Is that possible?

If not, what are the counter parts of using the output to send the signal to a power amp por a second pair of speakers?

Absolutely yes, you just need a fitting cable.
