Topic: UFX+ switching from USB to Thunderbolt problems

I've been using USB3 successfully but am trying to switch over to Thunderbolt to connect to my mac.  All the RME drivers are up to date (so is the mac mini - not m1) and the cable is new.

But the mac isn't recognizing the UFX+ using tb.  I tried setting the Interface mode on the rme directly to TB but it's still not working.

I don't have both USB and TB connected at the same time. 

Any ideas?

Just to rule out the obvious, did you install the UFX+ TB macOS driver/settings utility (and maybe not required but better to remove the USB one)?

Ah- not sure I did.  Or if installed I haven't run it.

When the UFX is connected via USB the Fireface USB control panel opens automatically.  Nothing opens when TB is connected.

Let me dig around a bit.

I downloaded and installed the TB Driver (driver_tb_mac_121.zip) but it's still not connecting.  I gave the utility rights in the security settings.

How do I uninstall the USB driver on a Mac?  Maybe I should uninstall the TB ones too and reinstall them.

No need to uninstall USB. Which macOS is this?

Is the Thunderbolt device visible in the System information? It should be there as you allowed the RME driver (if I understand your statement correctly).

Same problem with mac mini m1 Monterey 12.3.1.
Ufx+ works fine on USB3, but not Thunderbolt.
Using the Apple Tb3 to Tb2 adapter. Can be this the problem?

Sorry. I installed the wrong driver version.
Now is working fine with the right driver
