Topic: USB Failure on Early 2015 13" Intel i7 MBP

I’ve been running my UFX+ in TB mode with Intel i7 Mac OS X 11.5 for over 12 months, unable to get USB drivers successfully installed and since TB worked, didn’t want to risk rocking the boat.

Today trying to get USB to work, installed OS 11.6.5 as min recomended for 3.27. Successfully installed USB 3.27, flash updated UFX connected by TB…all audio & MIDI software ran fine and still running fine with TB.

Connected by USB…UFX w Audio & MIDI software prog ran fine. Then opened Logic Pro 10.7.3 and UFX went crazy repeatedly trying to reboot and now consistently does so when trying to connect w USB.  I’ve reinstalled 3.27 with same result. Could update to OS 12.3 but fear introducing new issues as this is my gigging laptop.

Thoughts?

Is that a direct USB connection? Or is there some adapter, extender or hub?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, direct from laptop to UFX w either TB or USB. ARC direct to UFX

Just to be clear, the UFX does work for audio playback, but when you open Logic it goes offline. Is that accurate?

Yes! Initially both TB & USB mode worked until I opened Logic in USB mode. Then UFX went into a continuous reboot mode, flashing  lights and all. TB mode works fine.
