Topic: Background light high pitch audible noise (not over speakers)

Hello Forum,

I just got my new ADI 2 FS and I love it. But: it produces a very high noise audible in a distance up to 2 meters.
When I switch off the background light (dark button on the remote) it stops.

Seems to be an Elko for the background lights that produces that very high frequency, but it is not possible to sit next to the ADI and exist. I have to switch off the lights and cannot see if it clips. Have not updated firmware yet, is it a problem somebody else has?

Known issue. Your dealer can fix it. Just file a warranty request.

Quick and dirty, not a final solution:
Bringing the backlight up to 100% should reduce (but not remove) the noise.

Just wondering what the dealer is fixing, or do you mean bringing it to the dealer whom will send it to RME to fix?
