Topic: MADI optical connection generates/sends continuous MidiTemp Data

I got a UFX+ connected to a Octamic XTC via MADI optical. The adat ins and outs are needed for other stuff and I also want to use Total Mix to remote control the Octamic.

In this setup the UFX+ MADI optical MIDI Port keeps on sending MidiTemp Data to my DAW (Logic). Which creates a mess.

Can I turn this behavior off somewhere in the menus of the UFX+, the Octamic or in Total Mix?

You can turn it off in Logic
Settings>MIDI>Inputs
Deselect UFX+ MADI optical

UFX+, FireFace 802 FS, Digiface USB

Just wondering if there is a way that the data doesn't even get into the Mac at all?

You want totalmix to control the octamic.
That happens over midi.
