Topic: Rme Babyface pro Fs audio cut

Hello,
Sometimes an audio coming out from my Rme babyface pro is cutted for a second and then is going back to normal. I use MacBook Pro mid 2015 with Roland a88 keyboard and rme. Both are connected via USB ports without external power. Is it possible that I need power supply for my rme?

Re: Rme Babyface pro Fs audio cut

Have you tried all available USB ports and tested with external power?

I’ve e changed some power settings on my  MacBook and with AC is fine. I will test. I don’t have power supply for rme. Probably MacBook without external power works in some kind of energy saving mode..

Re: Rme Babyface pro Fs audio cut

Problem is still there.
https://youtu.be/sXjchs6aukE in 12 sec you can hear buzz, but what I heard while playing was just a click, then silence for a second and than back to normal. In the same moment output diode on rme went down suddenly. Before this sometimes I heard a small "click" while using sm7b, just when I was singing but audio was never cut down.. now problem is bigger. It's not a cpu overload problem...

What are your clock / sync settings?

UCX - FF 400 - Babyface pro - Digiface USB - ADI-2 (original)
Mac mini M1 - Macbook pro - iPad Air2

Re: Rme Babyface pro Fs audio cut

I found it behaves exactly like changing Short Safety Offset while playing but of course I am doing this. I have this function off.
