Topic: RME Babyface Gen 1 fried

Last week my breaker tripped and it ended up damaging my computers processor. I got a new processor and noticed everything that was plugged into the usb ports on the motherboard wont work, including my RME babyface.

Has anyone ever lost an audio interface due to a power surge?

Are you sure it is not the USB port on your computer that is fried, or the whole .other lard?
And yes I once fried a FireWire device even without a surge, because of unearthed power. Which can put 90v floating on ground.
