Topic: UCX - MAC M1 14" - firewire connection

Hi,  I trying Firewire connection (TB3 to TB2 adapter, TB2 to Fireware Adapter) with my  RME UCX.
doesn't work.

Anyone know Why? last firewire driver installed.

Did you reduce the security with that special procedure?
And did you allow the install in the security preference?

Does it work with the USB driver?

(I was also using firewire until recently, as there have been USB Audio problems on Mac some years ago, but with the M1, I found the USB driver to be more stable than Firewire.
I'd be curious why you don't connect it to the M1 via USB...? I was also reading somewhere in this forum that Apple is about to stop firewire support with the next version of macOS, so maybe time to make the jump)

Hi, special procedure done, security preference ok.
Via USB work properly, I want use firewire because I can use it without Power Supply, but now I think that is bad Idea!! smile
