Topic: [Answered] UCX II make up gain

Mic input of the interface. If a compressor is activated, does make up gain knob add digital gain? Let’s say i have my preamp gain set for +40 DB, does the make up gain knob set for +6Db add that amount of digital amplification after the signal is preamplified? Is that how that works?

Yes, makeup gain is just digital amplification (or attenuation), and can be used as such intentionally when the compressor is set to a ratio where it doesn't work.
