Topic: Set the output volume

I use a condenser mic (Shure PG-42 XLR) with an RME Fireface UCX II.

My gain is set to 49, with the white fader set to 0 (it's the only source in the mix so far)
Main main is set at +13dBu, with the fader also set to 0.

This works and the sound level is OK, but the mic picks too much ambient noise so I would like to be able to lower the gain.
However the Main fader is already at 0, how can I boost the sound on top of that ?

By placing the mic more near to the acoustical source...

You won't get rid of too much ambient noise by whatever electrical gain change.
