Topic: Logic I/O Plugin & Total Mix/Digiface

I recently upgraded to a Digiface USB and a Pulse 16 on Mac OSX 10 to use more outboard gear with my mixing.  I've been fine getting Total Mix set up with my monitors, using the sends and the channel outputs to send track audio out the ADAT to my gear and back in but I can't get Logic's I/O plugin to work with Total Mix. This plugin is Logic's way of auditioning outboard gear without having to set up a return channel, mute the send etc...  When I use it, there is no audio sent to Total Mix, and nothing shows up on the ADATs output meters.  Does this plugin work with Total Mix?  I checked the forum and google but all I found was the same question from 2010 with no answer.

In Cubase you can define an external device, mono or stereo, you only have to select inputs and outputs, Cubase sends audio through it and measures latency, so full latency compensation is being achieved.
Then you can use this external device like a VST as insert or send effect.

I don't use Cubase though.  Logic works differently.
