Hi, just installed the UCX II and it works fine with Ableton but selecting it in macOS for outputting sound does not work. Ideas?

Could you be a bit more specific than "does not work"?
No sound
It shows as a selectable source but there is no sound. I use ch 7/8 in Ableton in order to hear something. Is this the problem? Something with the Matrix, routing?
"No sound" where exactly? Any signal in Tmtalmix, and if so, where? What about other software?
ok, realize I'm being unclear:)
So, in Ableton channel 7/8 goes to CUE (phones) so there everything is fine. But in other apps on macOS there is no sound, either in speakers or phones. In macOS it plays 1/2 in Totalmix.
Ableton sound in channels 7/8 and I can chose that and send this to phones.
In macOS for everything else 1/2 is routed in Totalmix.
Seems like the default routing in Totalmix is 1/2 and 7/8 but macOS just plays 1/2.
macOS needs to play through 7/8 I guess. Or it needs to understand that sound is coming from 1/2
This isn't a Totalmix issue... If MacOS plays audio to 1/2, you can either route it to phones in Totalmix (from software playback to hardware output, see rme.to/tm) or change the output settings in the Speaker Setup in the Audio/Midi setup.
