You can find this information in the manual and on the RME Web Page under Products -> Accessories.
You need the power supply without lockable adapter.
See TAB “Power Supply” here: https://www.rme-audio.de/cables-adapters.html
You can get it, e.g., from RME Shop:
https://www.rme-shop.com/cgi-bin/sh0018 … ml#SID=113
Or here from Thomann:
DE: https://www.thomann.de/de/rme_cardbus_netzteil.htm
EN: https://www.thomann.de/gb/rme_cardbus_n … p;reload=1
Thanks for the reply. I have the manual and found the information. The manual says the item ID is "NTCARDBUS", the item you have provided is "NT-RME-2". NT-RME-2 is described as lockable, you suggest I need non-lockable.
The "Power Supply" tab you provided shows 2 adapters, both having the same part numbers (NT-RME-2), confusing things. The one on the left seems to be the one I need.
The RME Shop link you provided has a power supply that does NOT list Babyface 1st gen as compatible.
The 2 Thomann links you provided show the adapter to the right on the "Power Supply" tab, confusing things even further.
I've been going in circles for days now using google and RME website.
Can anyone provide an adapter that will work from a 3rd party, all of this is just too confusing.
Where is the problem, RME shop and Thomann have both power supplies from RME, non-lockable version, where you can see clearly from the descrition, that it is for the Babyface (the initial model, not Pro, not Pro FS).
Why they changed the article name .. I don't know and I wouldn't care too much.
Both articles are from / for RME and both support Babyface.
No need to go in circles, just read and order
Ok, I ordered the one from Thomann. We will see what happens
