Topic: Volume encoder simultaneously changes panning

This is the most cursed bug I've ever seen, but my Fireface UC has started misbehaving in such a way that the single encoder on the front of the device that usually controls amplitude now simultaneously controls panning. For my main out, lowering the volumes causes it to pan left and raising the volume causes it to pan right. This can be observed happening in real-time using the TotalMix interface. Meanwhile, for my phones (Analog 7-8) the reverse happens: lowering the volume causes it to pan right and raising the volume causes it to pan left. In any case, changing the volume should not simultaneously change the panning; why did this suddenly start happening and how can I stop it?

Re: Volume encoder simultaneously changes panning

Fixed by following https://www.forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=23331

Note that the encoder has to be held for only about a second and it has to be in channel mode rather than level mode. If done correctly, the device will display on when it is fixed.
