I would just download and try it, but I am away from the studio on business and figured I would just ask the question instead....:-)

Not sure I understand your question, so I'll cover several things and hope the answer is somewhere...
I have the HDSP9652. I'm not sure there is any difference with the Fireface, never seen it.
The original RME skin has the same level ranges. The heavier line reads -6 in the Output faders.
OUTPUT faders top out at "0", INPUT/PLAYBACK faders top out at +6.
Default OUTPUT level in the Totalmix has always been at -6 in my experience in order to be at unity gain in my outboard mixer.
We don't change the numbers, we only change the visual appearance of these skins.
Nothing we do changes RME's built-in function, ranges, or dB scaling.
At any rate, I've always wondered why the OUTPUT faders show -6 at unity (???) I've just grown used to it.
One difference in my skins compared to most other skins I've seen here is that my level marks have different spacings to reflect the proper calibration between Input/Playback levels and Output levels. This changes the actual -40/-32/-24 calibration mark positions in those lower fader regions.
You can see on the Nuendo skin that I tried to locate the actual calibrated mark positions of -40/-32/-24/-18/-12/-6/0/+6 with all the fader sections.
The RME level numbers hit most (but not all) of the exact values, and there are pixel size limitations to how accurate it can get visually.
