Topic: TRS Output / On - Off

Ok, two days of research and need help with ADI-2 Pro FS!

I have two sets of active monitors, one set using XLR, and second set using TRS.

Can't see how to turn the TRS outputs "on or off" either via the unit or even better from the remote.
(I do see "TRS" labeled on the remote, but at a loss how to remap a key to accomplish same).

Yes, I could get up from my desk and manually power off second set of monitors when not in use, but that's not too convenient.

This seems so simple but must be missing something.....will always use same source for both sets, but not always at same time.

Appreciate any and all assistance!

Re: TRS Output / On - Off

XLR and backside TRS are coupled and can‘t be switched separately.

You could:

• Use one of the front TRS outputs for your 2nd set of monitors, these can.

• Or use a switched power strip close to your seat would be the simplest practical solution.
A remote controlled power switch adapter would be another option, like this one:

Re: TRS Output / On - Off

Well that explains it perfectly. Maybe a switching option RME can consider for the future. Looking into your secondary solutions and appreciate the support!

Re: TRS Output / On - Off

The Multi Remote Control includes keys that are not for your DAC. See its manual what is there it what it does. Switching XLR/TRS is not part of the specs of the unit and can not be added as no such switching circuit exists in the hardware.
