Topic: protecting against accidental phantom power

I'm starting to perform live more often with my MADIface Pro, and I'm wondering if I need to buy a DI to protect against accidentally receiving phantom power into the interface's XLR outputs.

would the interface be damaged by receiving phantom power into its XLR outputs?

That could indeed happen, so better to use external protection.
