Topic: [Solved] TotalMix Remote says no access!

I apologize, I read several posts but none have fixed my issue.

I am using the Fireface UFX II.
I am using the TotalMix Remote app on a 5th Generation iPad Pro OS version 16.1
My Mac Book Pro is OS Monterey 12.6

I have updated to the latest driver with Totalmix on my Mac Book.

I have selected Enable Totalmix Remote Server and have input the correct ip address. I have tried switching between using the numerical ip address and the host name.

The TotalMixRemote app on my ipad says Found Devices: Fireface UFX II
When I open the app it says connected for about 3-4 seconds and then no access!

Is there any additional steps that I need to look at?

In my firewall options, Totalmix is green and says "allow incoming connections"
I have also tried turning my firewall off and it still says no access!
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Totalmix and Totalmix FX on my ipad and no luck.
I have re-started my computer and no luck.

Thank you for any help.

Re: [Solved] TotalMix Remote says no access!

You don't specifically say it, but something simple - check in your Settings and make sure both the macbook pro and the iPad are logged into the same wireless network.

Also on the iPad, Host Connection Settings, make sure the User Authentication is disabled; if it isn't you have to have the User permission set up on the macbook pro.

They are logged into the same wifi.

Here are some screenshots, the user authentication is disabled.

One comment: disable the User Management on the Host/server. There is no entry so it should not be on.

I'll try this when I get home. I remember trying to flip it on and off and create a profile allowing full access but I'll give it another go.

I did this and it works now. Thank you, I am thoroughly enjoying my RME UFX II!

Re: [Solved] TotalMix Remote says no access!

Hello.

I have a similar problem but with a very odd twist. I can get TotalMix Remote and TotalMix FX talking to each other... but only PARTIALLY!

Only the bottom row of faders (Hardware Outputs) are linked (in both directions). Both the Hardware Inputs and the Software Playback faders are not linked in either direction.

I have a Fireface UFX+, a 12mic and an AVB Tool all connected via MADI Coaxial. All audio connections are working as expected.

I have seen it work one time -- briefly. But it quit and reverted to the above behavior.

The Upper right corner of TotalMix Remote says "Connected" steadily.

I REALLY need this to work as my tracking room is separate from my control room, and if I want to be able to record by myself, I need to be able to control both the DAW and TotalMix from the tracking room.
