Topic: Babyface Pro FS to DAW to Skype like apps mixing and routing help

My goal is to add plugins to my voice in DAW (Ableton) so that listeners on Skype hear my processed voice.

1. On the Totalmix I added my microphone to AN 1.
2. On Ableton I add an audio track and pick 1 as the Ext. In and 3/4 as Ext. Out
3. I then add plugins to audio track

To my understanding, apps like Skype only pick up Analog 1/2: So how do I route Ableton's Ext. Out 3/4 (Totalmix 3/4) on Totalmix so that Skype listeners hear only my processed voice?

Select Ableton output 1/2
Why do you choose 3/4 when you know Skype requests channel 1/2 ?

M1-Sonoma, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: Babyface Pro FS to DAW to Skype like apps mixing and routing help

I've not used Skype for years, but just checked as I was curious and Skype allows me to select the UCX II recording channels (stereo) that I've configured for Windows 10 Pro. In my case Analog (1+2) and SPDIF/ADAT (1+2) as I've disabled a number of WDM devices, but if I enable them they'll show up as well in Skype. I've not tested how that works, though.

This for Skype version 8.91.0.404.
