Topic: Yellow 'T' illuminated; faders locked?

Hi everyone,

I'm sure this has come up before, but I haven't seen anything yet. First, my setup:

Win10
Reaper (I send midi from here to the FF800 to change snapshots)
TotalMix FX 1.60
FF800 (driver version 3.125)
ARC USB

Now, my problem:

All the yellow 'T's' are illuminated (I'm still not sure I understand why?). But a few of my faders are locked at -8: specifically, my two mic inputs (7 & 8), and my SPDIF input for reamping.

I must be missing something here. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What is causing these faders to lock in this way?

Re: Yellow 'T' illuminated; faders locked?

Try Total Reset
Totalmix menu Options / Reset-Options / Total Reset

And also get the new Totalmix version :

Re: Yellow 'T' illuminated; faders locked?

Thanks for chiming in. Unfortunately total reset has now frozen all my faders?

*Edit: never mind, total reset did not freeze all my faders. But still the faders for almost all my hardware inputs are still frozen....?

As well, what is the default directory in Win10 to save the TotalMixFX.exe? *SOLVED

Driver 3.125 seems to be the right one, have you also the latest firmware on the unit ?
As always, follow readme instructions !

Yep, hardware revision = 2.77. (But I updated again just in case.)

Faders are still stuck. I'll add this just happened for the first time yesterday, when I started setting up OBS to do some livestreaming. Not sure if any of that is connected...

Re: Yellow 'T' illuminated; faders locked?

Still frozen.

Another detail: not all the same faders are frozen in every snapshot. For instance, AN 1/2 (my Axe FX) is not frozen in snapshots 1-2, which simply change the hardware output from my main desk monitors to wedges across the room.

But when I go to snapshot 3, which I use for reamping via SPDIF, AN 1/2 is frozen....

*Edit: I just reloaded my main saved workspace. Now everything is working again, and all the yellow T's are unilluminated again.

But it's likely this problem will return (this has happened twice today). So I'm not sure I know what my mistake is?

Re: Yellow 'T' illuminated; faders locked?

When you switch on Trim Gains mode, that can cause some faders to be limited or locked in place, based on the current routings. Just turn off TRIM mode in the upper right of the TMFX window.
