Topic: Totalmix becomes unavailable daily on Mac Studio / MacOS Ventura 13

When I sit down to work each day audio output doesn't work with my Mac Studio M1 Max.
Audio Midi Setup recognizes my Babyface Pro FS
Totalmix mixer window is gone.
Totalmix icon is in the Dock but says application is unavailable.
Only option is to Force Quit.
After Force Quit, Totalmix can't be started again. It bounces for a while then stops without launching.

Only after restarting the computer does Totalmix start and audio output starts working again.
So I'm rebooting my new computer every day because Totalmix stops working.

I have flashed the interface with latest firmware 201
Kernel Extension has been installed

TotalMix version 1.78
MacOS Ventura 13.0.1

How about create a new user account in MacOS for testing ?

The USB cable could be faulty ?
Different USB slot connected ?

Today when it happened again I noticed these additional behaviors:

Rogue Media apps Audio Hijack and Loopback both had popup windows that say:
"This Mac's audio system is behaving unreliably, likely due to malfunctioning by another audio app. Audio Hijack must now quit, and a system restart is recommended. If problems persist after restarting, please contact support."

I am going to leave these two apps stopped for a while to see whether Totalmix becomes any more stable.

When Force Quitting Totalmix, the Apple menu that announces the app crashed and offers sending a report also gives me the option of restarting Totalmix. When I do so, TotalMix appears to launch; the mixer window is up and responsive. However, the window titlebar says "RME TotalMix FX: Babyface Pro (72990945) - disconnected".

In this state, after a TotalMix crash and before a restart, any app I try to play audio with becomes unresponsive; Youtube in a Safari tab, Apple Music.app, etc.

This is really messed up. I've never seen anything like this before.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll try another usb port and see if that helps.

My machine has stabilized after plugging the Babyface directly into the Mac Studio using the provided USB cable. I was using a powered USB hub and extension cable. This solution worked with an iMac on Catalina but not with the Mac Studio on Ventura. I may do some additional testing to determine whether the extension cable or powered hub is the cause.
