Topic: ADI-2 Pro: using EQ with DSD

Hi, everybody.

I use my Jecklin Float QA combo (FLOAT QA headphones + FLOAT QA Power Supply Active Transdyn Amplifier) with RME ADI-2 Pro FS R BE as a DAC and Audirvana Plus v.3.0.3 installed in my Mac Pro as a player. I would like to use an equalizer in ADI-2 but I cannot do it because the most of my music is in DSD. I already tried some settings in ADI-2 and Audirvana but without success - every time I can see the same: EQ is not available in DSD Mode.

Maybe there is someone here who uses ADI-2 with Audirvana and can help me with the settings for using EQ with dsd?
My Jecklin Float QA combo really needs the help of the equalizer.

Re: ADI-2 Pro: using EQ with DSD

DSD had to be converted to PCM before it can be processed. Which defeats the supposed object of DSD in the first place. Not doable by its very nature, unfortunately.

I know about conversion DSD to PCM.

Why do you say that this is impossible? I know some users on this forum who do it successfully.
But they just use other players, not an Audirvana.

If you don't mind converting to PCM, then of course it's possible, just use a plugin EQ or something. I'm not familiar with Audirvana so can't comment on that, I use FB2K.

The Audirvana experts are asked here:

Audirvana has a setup-menu to configure DSD to PCM output processing, but xamax didn’t find a way to finally activate the conversion.
