Topic: babyface pro-fs with laptop that only has one usb-c port!

my laptop only has one usb-c port which is used for charging, I think it's crazy because I intended to use the rme to play backing tracks live which I can't do now as the babyface will need to use that port

are there any solutions here? would a usb to usb-c converter work so I could use one of the other standard ports ?

Have you no usb a ports on your computer? The bfp fs doesn’t need a usb C port. It runs at usb2 speeds. It comes with both a usb C and usb A cable.

Use USB b port for Babyface.

In case it is the only port use a docking station that provides additional ports. Large variety on Amazon.

What notebook are you using? Information would help to find solution.

What is needed here can be got much cheaper than by a docking station - a simple USB-A multiport hub to one USB-C would work. These are even available with USB-C power input port, so the power supply could still be used.

HUB’s and docking stations are pretty much standard equipment now for laptop users especially MacBook users. Most of the manufacturers have cut back offering onboard ports making it mandatory for anyone with multiple devices. Get a HUB or docking station and your problem is gone.
