Topic: Digiface AES Dynamics FX

I would like to suggest that Totalmix dynamics FX be added to the Digiface AES if possible.

Even though Digiface AES is $200-400 more expensive that the UCX II, the loss of 4 channels of analog outputs and 6 channels of analog inputs (including both hi-z capable inputs) has been worth it to me for the addition of the sample rate converter, which is extremely helpful for my setup. But if the DSP capabilities of the two devices are similar, being able to apply an expander/noise gate and compressor to a couple of channels would make the device even more useful!

If USB doesn't provide sufficient power to operate the DSP at such a level, perhaps it could be enabled only when an external power supply is connected.

There is no DSP chip in that unit...

Re: Digiface AES Dynamics FX

Ah, ok, thanks--I had assumed the EQ was handled by DSP. If there are any other new features/capabilities or other non-obvious improvements in the Digiface AES, it would be great to hear about them. But already, it has taken the place of 3 other devices previously in my setup.
