Topic: RIAA for ADI-2-pro-FS R BE ?

It it possible to give the ADI-2-pro-FS R this possibility, given by the new ADI-2/4 for MM cartridges ?

On the software side I think RIAA EQ and more (digital) gain could be done.

Unfortunately ADI-2 Pro’s analog input has the completely wrong impedance to match MM-phono pickups.
The result would be very dull, and unpredictably so.


I suggest to use an analog RIAA preamp and connect it to ADI-2 Pro.
There are lots of quality offerings at reasonable prices available.

In fact it could not be done in the ADI-2 Pro as the RIAA processing needs a lot of resources that are not available. The reason the 2/4 can do this is that it hapens in an additional DSP that is part of the ADC chip used in that unit.

Thank you for the precise answer.
I was just curious.
I still have a good pre/RIAA, far better than the USB output we find on recent turntables.
And I can use the PEQ...
