Topic: Babyface PRO FS + ARC USB (+ other questions working with FireFace800)

Hi,
For almost 20 years I have been using a glorious FireFace 800.
Now I must upgrade my Mac and I am thinking to buy a Babyface PRO FS and use the Fireface connected to the ADAT port.
I have some questions about this configuration I didn't find an answer:
- Can I use my ARC USB with Babyface? (I suppose "yes")
- Do the midi ports on FF800 connected via ADAT work?
- I think I can use the FF800 headphones output together with the Babyface headphones out, right?
- Does the Hi impedance headphones out provides more power than the Fireface800 headphones output? Currently I can drive my Sennheiser hd600 but I cannot compare to a dedicated amp listening.

YES

No

yes

No, the FF800 has a Hi-Gain reference setting, this gives an extra boost and makes it a little more powerful as the BF.


Currently I can drive my Sennheiser hd600 but I cannot compare to a dedicated amp listening.
