Topic: New Babyface Pro FS Firmware (3/31/23)

Hello All,

After upgrading to Ventura 13.3, I checked RME site to see if there were any new drivers of FW for my Babyface Pro FS.

There is a new firmware dated today. I downloaded and attempted to install, but it says my firmware is 203 and is up to date.

The readme says Babyface Pro / Pro FS: 203 / 318

I have the Pro FS, but for the FW install pulldown, it only says "Babyface Pro (729XXXXXX)". According to above, should my firmware be 318 for the Pro FS? Again, my unit is reporting 203 and is up to date.

Just want to confirm that my unit is being recognized correctly so I can get the latest correct firmware installed.

Sorry, Windows here. I checked the Read Me and it doesn't say many things that have updated, so I didn't run the firmware update...

I'd like to add that my Babyface Pro FS also shows on my windows device list as "Babyface Pro (followed by serial number)." I can view this information by activating the settings window, then click on "devices" then "view more devices."

It’s 203. I have the bfp fs

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

Thanks for the replies. I was going on the readme for the Mac updater, which read to me that the Pro was 203 and the FS was 318.

But I took a look at the Windows readme and it's more clear, stating 203 is for BFPFS rev6 and 318 is for rev7. So all good.

It seems 203 is for AKM version, 318 is for ESS version

Nope. As Spartan 6 is no longer available we had to redesign the unit (in fact all units) to use a Spartan 7 FPGA. Features and performance stays unchanged, but these FPGAs need a different firmware.

So, based on this info, I can conclude that I'm on Spartan 6? Because my firmware is 203. This is news to me, thanks!

Yes.
HW-Rev.6 = 203
HW-Rev.7 = 318
