Topic: Babyface with Digital splitter for Audient Nero + external preamp sync

What I want to do:

- Use Babyface Pro FS as interface (need something small and portable)
- Use optical out of babyface to connect audient nero that stays connected to monitors / headphones
- Use an 8 channel mic pre (ultragain / focusrite etc) via ADAT for more phantom powered inputs

Since the babyface only has one digital out and I need to feed two devices (nero for audio, preamp for sync), will a toslink splitter  provide a proper signal to both devices?

Yes, except the one I was looking at was a 2 output passive device

It is cheap, not much to lose, it should work, the maximum distance is shorter, maybe half.

Or you can set the adat preamp as clock master.

Babyface Pro FS, MSI GS66, Studio One
