Topic: Which Input Is The Right One To Use?

Hi,

I bought a new BAE DMP preamp.

I am going out of the DMP by XLR and going into Input 01 on the front of my Fireface UC also by XLR.
The sound is absolutely great.

Is it also possible to go into Input 05 on the back of the Fireface UC by a phone jack?
Will this be the same sound quality as going into Input 01 by XLR?

As long you use a balanced cable XLR to TRS it should be fine. The inputs 5-8 on the UC are balanced and line level. I don’t know about the exact specifications of the output on the BAE preamp, I suggest to experiment with different level settings to find the best sound (and of course to avoid clipping)
