Topic: [Solved] AVB Setup - MADI error?

Hello!

I faced a problem with my MADIface USB, 12 Mic and AVB Tool devices, when I connect them via MADI.

My PC (TotalMix, DAW) receives a signal only from one device, depending on the order of switching the devices to the daisy chain.
Here is what I mean:

MADIface USB OUT ---> IN AVB Tool OUT ---> IN 12Mic OUT ---> IN MADIface USB
In this case the PC receives input signals only from the 12Mic, but the output from the PC reaches only the AVB Tool.

And vice versa:
MADIface USB OUT ---> IN 12Mic OUT ---> IN AVB Tool OUT ---> IN MADIface USB
In this case the PC receives input signals only from the AVB Tool, but the output from the PC reaches only the 12Mic.

I have updated all the drivers and firmwares, did not help.
I use an Optical connection.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Did you route everything in the web interface?

Yes, everything is routed. And it was already routed and worked well!

Please check the clock/input status of the respective MADI inputs. Do they show a valid connection (i.e. correct sampling rate and "sync")?
Do 12Mic or AVB Tool show any section in read (...and is the power led blinking red)?

If possible please share screenshots from the AVB Tool and 12Mic web interface.

You are missing the MADI "pass through" routing in the AVB tool, at minimum.

Inside the web GUIs for the AVB Tool and 12Mic, it's not clear that you have routed the necessary MADI input channels to MADI output. If you can send more screenshots of the ROUTING panel from each unit I can verify.

Basically, from the first post, nothing is passing through the entire MADI chain.

I think I got, what do you mean... It was routed from AVB Tool to the MADI outputs 13 to 16, but not further by the 12Mic.. It works now.
