Topic: 12 Mic Midi over Madi

Hi, I'm new here.

Here is my configuration :
- MacBook Air M1 (2022, Thunderbolt connection, MacOS Monterey)
- RME UFX+, firmware 105, driver v1.21
- RME 12Mic (no Dante), firmware 1.6.0_v159, HTTP REMOTE ON, MIDI Input MADI Coaxial, MIDI Output MADI Coaxial, ID Device 4
- Connection between UFX+ and 12Mic : MADI coaxial.
The gear is perfect for me, and I'm very happy with them.
I would like to use Midi over MADI remote.

Problem : I never could connect the 12Mic with Midi over Madi (with RME MIDI Remote AVB and with the new app RME Connector).

Question : What did I wrong ? Can someone help me please ?

Please be more specific - what exactly does not work as ecpected?

What MIDI port did you configure as MIDI Input and MIDI Output?
You might need "UFX+ MIDI Port 4" for MIDI over MADI over BNC.

AFAIR:

Port 1+2 for the normal MIDI ports MIDI 1 and MIDI 2 at the front and the back
Port 3 for MIDI over MADI via Optical
Port 4 for MIDI over MADI via BNC

I'm out of home for a few days. I will post screenshots to explain more precisely my problem.
MIDI port is configured Port 4 as MIDI Input and MIDI Output.
RME connector does not recognize 12Mic.

Please detail your setup whether you use all MADI channels via Optical, Coaxial or Split.

Helpful would be a screenshot of your RME driver settings, regarding e.g.:
- MADI input: "Auto Select | Optical | Coaxial | Split"
- MADI output: "Optical | Mirror | Split"

Also remote control settings of your 12Mic: How are the settings for MIDI input and MIDI output?
If I remember right this can only be configured on the Display:
Push big encoder (rotary knob) to enter "Main" Menu
Push it again to enter "State" Menu
Turn encoder 3x to the right to see "Remote Control" Menu Entry
Push encoder to enter "Remote Control" Menu
Push 3rd Button from top (left from display) to enter MIDI
Check the settings for MIDI Input, MIDI Output, Device ID
