Topic: ADI-8 DS All lights blinking on startup

All the lights are blinking for a couple of seconds when powered on. Is this normal? I bought this second-hand this week. The unit seems to work normally though. I got worried if the PSU is failing after reading some other posts about blinking lights. My mk3 doesn't blink lights, as can be seen in the video.

I have a very old ADI-8 PRO (bought it also used) and when I turn it on all lights blink like 5 - 6 times until it syncs up with my Multiface II.

Ah, good to know. So it's normal. They have changed the behaviour between the original ADI-8 DS and the Mk III.

Yes it's normal, also ADI-8 QS and ADI 6432 do this, it's an impressive lightshow.
