Topic: Cleanest, noise free USB-source: iMac or iPad

Hi, I connect my Adi-2 DAC either to my iMac (2017) or to my iPad mini 6(USB-C), both through USB.
I only play streamed Apple Music.
My question: What's the best USB-source for sound quality, the iMac or the iPad.
Does the RME filter all noise, or can I optimise my sound chain ? Thanx!

Happy with ADI-2 DAC FS (ESS) ! iMac 2017 - iPad mini 6 - Apple Music.

Doesn't matter because of SteadyClock and the design is that the ADI-2 DAC/Pro performs finally the D/A conversion using it's own FS clock.

What noise should be there on an USB connection?

Mac mini M1 - Macbook pro - iPad Air2

Some people think they can get, besides jitter, some humm through the USB cable if I remember right, but well .. I am fully with you...
