Topic: Regarding M-32 Pro II
Hi
just noticed the new product, the difference to the M-32 roughly:
- 2nd LAN connector for redundancy
- SFP based MADI port
- DC coupled outputs
Then a Dante model version M-32 Pro II-D with MADI, AVB and Dante.
Just noticed when comparing to M-32 Pro:
the icon for FS-clock feature is missing in the "connectors and features" section of the webpage for all new models.
Question: is a model variant planned with 16 AD and 16 DA ports?
That would be a desired model variant which would allow for better integration with recording interfaces with only 1 MADI bus if you want to work in double speed and to additionally integrate 12Mic(s) through MADI.
EDIT: or if you simply would like to split the investment into two parts .. Getting first 16x AD/DA with one device and then later another 16 one. This is definitively better achieveable, compared having to buy 2x32 ch devices at once.
Example 1: UFX III and working at double speed - 16 Port converter and 12Mic:
MADI Bus @88.2/96kHz: |........16......| |....12......| = 28 Ports IN
|........16......| not used = 16 Ports OUT
Example 2: UFX III 2xconverter, 1-2x 12Mic, working at single speed, splitting external devices left and right from the desk and to have shorter analog cables at the work desk towards external devices:
Desk: At left side | Right side
MADI Bus @48Hz: |........16......| |........16......| |....12......| |....12......| = 56 Ports IN
|........16......| |........16......| not used = 32 Ports OUT
