Topic: Fireface ufx II Crackling sound with DAW mode

Hello,

I have an issue with my fireface ufx II. There are some crackling noises when i use it in DAW mode with ableton live. I tried to change the sample rate but nothing happend. The only way to get rid of the noise is to go to full mode and use direct out from hardware input.
Does anybody have any clue on what can cause that noise?

Mac or Windows ?
Where did you try to change sample rate ? in the Madiface settings dialog ? Or in Ableton ?

I’m on a macbook pro 13” 2017 with big sur.
I changed the sample rate in ableton, I didn’t know that I could change it in the madiface settings.
I’ll try it tomorow, thank you

Select the same sample rate everywhere.
In the DAW and in the audio interface converter clock setting.
Sample rate mismatch can be the cause for crackeling noise.

The rme and ableton was indeed not at the same sample rate.
The problem is now solved, thank you very much
