Topic: ufx+ constantly needs firmware updates

Hi,

My ufx+ has been very cranky since I bought it. About once a month or two it will basically stop making sound. Today, my computer recognized the device fully, TotalMix said sound was going out, the unit showed sound going out the mains (on the front panel), but there was no sound. The solution was (and has been every time this has happened) to flash the firmware. It was scary this time because the flash failed 4x before it worked.

Once I flashed the firmware, the device works great again.

Any ideas? I don't use this unit all the time. I usually use my trusty 12 year old UCX which has never had a single problem. But for bigger gigs, I need the UFX+, and this is scary when it happens. I am running Ventura with the newest DriveKit driver.

Are you sure with "sound going out the mains (on the front panel)" ?
Or do you mean the headphone outputs ?
On the front panel the only outputs are the headphone sockets.

Yes. When I adjusted the main volume on the front panel, it showed signal should have been going out the mains. I also tried channels 3+4. In that case, I didn't check the front panel, but TotalMix showed signal going out to the device on channels 3+4. Also, all inputs were showing up in TotalMix.

May you try a Total Reset in Totalmix
