Topic: hardware/audio inputs digiface usb

i am running digiface usb with 16 audio outs via ADAT into ferrofish pulse 16. everything fine.

total mix in operational (DAW) mode. hardware inputs mirror hardware outputs. (!?)

want to record audio, ferrofish inputs receive signal, total mix or DAW do not receive anything.

connection error?

mac M2, Ventura 13.4.1, logic pro 10.7.8, ext. clock to ferrofish, digiface on ext. via ADAT

Thanks for your help!

Re: hardware/audio inputs digiface usb

In MacOS system preferences - Security & Privacy - Microphone
Check if Totalmix is enabled there. It has to.
And in system preferences - Audio - input device Digiface should be selected.

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Maybe a stupid question, but you write

So Digiface out to Ferro in. But for recording you need the opposite way of connection, Ferro ADAT output to Digiface ADAT input. Do you have also cables in this signal direction?

there are no stupid questions, but: yes, opposite direction connected.

Ok. Since you even don't have any signal on the hardware inputs (meters) in TotalMix it's probably a routing issue on the Ferrofish units. I don't have such an unit, but learned from another user about the internal routing matrix of the Pulse16.
