Topic: Octamic II Dsub AES outputs - Always On?

I'm having a difficult time using the AES outputs of an Octamic II to feed the DSub inputs to a Cedar DNS 8Live. I've tried several different DSub cables without success. Is the DSub connector always active, or is there something I missed in the manual? Or the DSub cable is possibly constructed improperly.

Thank you.

Re: Octamic II Dsub AES outputs - Always On?

The OctaMic II D-sub on the ADC module is always delivering AES. Possible reasons for your issues:

- cable used is wired according to Yamaha, not Tascam (which is AES59)

- wrong clock and overall setup. Who is master, who is slave? Is the OctaMic set to the correct frequency used? Is the OctaMic slaved via AES and the DIP switch set accordingly? Etc. A wrong clocking setup will most probably mute signals on the Cedar.
