Topic: Are Fireface 802 and TotalMix Compatible with Mac Studio M2 Ultra?

Hi have a Fireface 802 that I bought new, and I was never able to figure out how to get it working well with my Lenovo P50 laptop running Windows 10.
I am finally about to give up on Windows and switch to Apple.
I was about to buy a Mac Studio M2 Ultra fully maxed out on specs yesterday (192 GB RAM, 8 TB SSD) to use for both video production and music production.
I assumed that it would work with my Fireface 802, but then I realized I should check the documentation to make sure it's compatible.

The Fireface 802 doc says:  "Version 3.41, for macOS 11/12 only. Supports Intel and M1."

There is no mention of macOS Ventura (13?) or the M2 Max or M2 Ultra chipset.

So will the Version 3.41 RME driver also work on the Mac Studio M2 Ultra?
If not, does RME plan to release new software that IS compatible?
If not, what are my options?  Just get a new interface?

Hi
Yes, this FireWire driver version is also compatible to macOS 13. It came out earlier than the Macs with M2 processors and also earlier than macOS 13. RME simply didn’t adapt the specifications text on the download section later…
You could also try to use the USB connection. It needs a separate driver.
