Topic: Babyface Pro new "boost" option?

Recently I updated firmware on my unit and realized there is new "boost" option next to +4dBu and -10dBV. What does it do and when should I use it?

For example when you have connected a sound source with a low output.

Such as a guitar with passive pickups? Considering there is no adjustment knob i assume it will boost to somewhat optimal levels automatically?
