Topic: UCXII - locking adapter pin

Hey all,
When I first got my UCXII back in Dec/Jan I thought the locking adapter pin was a particularly nifty feature. The UCX was rackmounted and has not moved since, but today I took it out in preparation for a flyaway gig this weekend and I couldn’t get the pin to come loose. Eventually it took about four twists before it disengaged, but now it feels and looks like I may have damaged the socket? The pin goes back in and locks when twisted clockwise, but disengaging again took several turns.

Am I just clumsy or have other people experienced this as well? Thanks!

Re: UCXII - locking adapter pin

Yes normal. Twist and pull, when the plug is at the right position it can pull out.
It does not pop out. See the winglets at the plug goes into the socket at the one position by the shape.
Locking is when the winglets are inside, no special clips or locking pins.

Re: UCXII - locking adapter pin

So what I'm saying is, when I tried to unlock the adapter pin, it kinda jammed and I had to twist it several times before I got it off. Now it looks like it might be damaged.

Putting it back in was simple enough, but when I tried to remove it again, same problem.

180° or in other word a half-rotation is enough.
