Hi, why is Adi 2/4 Pro have volume jump (louder) while changing NOS filter to other filter? is this a bug?
I use NOS filter as my default filter, but most of the time the volume are lower, if I change to other filter it will jump back to the normal volume, then I will change back to NOS filter again then it works normally.
Doesn't happen here or for others. You need to check your firmware version and - in case it is up to date - provide more details how to recreate this, and how many dBs the volume difference is.
The volume number shown remain same while the volume jump. I think if you try using NOS as default filter, and switch off and turn back on or change to other device for playback, then switch back to adi2/4 pro you will notice the issue when changing the NOS to other filter. The volume jump louder around 10db estimated by ear.
the firmware are always up to date.
Your firmware is FPGA 71, DSP 32?
Did you update the firmware yourself from an older version 67/26 or below? If so did you perform a reset?
Attention: After the update reset the unit: in power off state press and hold upper encoder 1 (B) and the VOL key (not VOLUME) while turning the unit on. The display will show ‘Reset Done’.
This reset is not necessary when updating newer versions.
The firmware is FPGA 71, DSP 32. I always check the latest update of firmware and still waiting for the latest remote app for ADI 2/4. it's not firmware version issue.
When I purchased the product, the firmware version I think is like FPGA 70, DSP 30/31? but I'm sure its not 67/26.
