Topic: Babyface pro output 3&4 questions

Hello,
I want to start using a Wes Audio Dione stereo bus compressor with my Babyface Pro FS.

Is the best way to achieve this through the 1/4” headphone output into the Compressor and back into line input 3/4?

Is the quality of that routing going to be okay for such a critical application?

I could also sell the Babyface Pro FS and get a used UCX II for about $400-500 more, but if I don’t need to, I’d rather hold off.

My analog outputs 1-2 are going to my studio monitors currently.

I am aware I could use an ADAT interface but I worry that equivalent quality converters would be more expensive than selling the Babyface and upgrading to the UCX II.

Thanks. It would be nice not to have to change gear, but for such an important use case, I would be willing.

At the moment you have a perfect set.
As soon as you want to ad more effect gear, Lexicon reverb unit for example, then you are at the limits and eventually need something.
UCX ll has lot more analog inputs and outputs
and the UFX lll has even more.
