Topic: Can I use the old ADI-2 PRO FS R BE remote with the ADI-2/4 PRO SE

I currently have an ADI-2 PRO FS R BE that I use for audio unit performance testing, and as the core of my home hifi system, including vinyl playback. I have two RME remote controls that I use- I find this to be really handy, for guests or for my wife.
I plan to add an ADI-2/4 PRO SE and replace the PRO FS as my main unit and confine the PRO FS to a separate system.
I'd still like to have the option to have two of the RME remote controls for the home hifi system.
Can I program the legacy remote to handle the PRO SE (preferably by using the reserved -Red select choice) or do I have to purchase a second remote?

What you call legacy remote is not legacy (that would be the old DAC remote), all three models will be the current MRC then, and can work with 2/4 Pro SE and 2 Pro FS R.

Thank you. Does that mean that I use the third (red) setting, which is labelled as reserved on the back of the two remotes, or something else?

Re: Can I use the old ADI-2 PRO FS R BE remote with the ADI-2/4 PRO SE

Correct. As the product info states: "To control the ADI-2/4 Pro SE code table 3 needs to be activated so that the SEL LED lights up in red color."

Thread could have been finished in 2 posts with this question:

Question: does my older MRC that has Reserve printed on the back for 'Red' already work with an ADI-2/4 Pro SE?

Answer: yes.

might have been even better, had I known the answer in advance.
Thanks for answering.
