Topic: to dock or not to dock

I just got an Echo 20 dock and want to know what best practice is, should I still connect the UCXII to the computer directly, or can I connect it to the dock without any decrease in performance and operation?

Aside from joking, it depends on your MoBo and what other peripherals you will connect to the Echo 20!
Thunderbolt connection is like external PCIe, so it depends on how many PCI lanes will be used.
If there are enough for the CPU to process real time audio, without interruptions, then there won 't be any decrease in performance!
So, yeah, you need to try it! smile
