Topic: USB3 Cable for new Macs?

Planning to buy new Apple Silicon Mac and (perhaps) UFX II or UFX III.

Are there any pitfalls in terms of connecting the USB-C type thunderbolt on these Macs to the older USB type ports on the UFX II or UFX III? Would i need som kind of active adapter, perhaps a hub of some kind?

UFX III comes with 2 cables, usb3 and a usb3 to usbc type cable. Both work well in my experience.
