Topic: RME Adi 8 Pro, buzzing noise when switching on the unit

Hello everyone,

My trusty Adi 8 Pro began to make a buzzing/"frying" noise when turning it on, the noise comes from the on/off switch.
The noise can last from half second to 1 or 2 seconds and it's becoming worse everyday, sometimes the unit doesn't turn on at all.
I'd like to send it to repair, browsing RME website seems that I should send it to the local RME distributor (I'm in Italy).

Anyone has experience with repair of RME gear to give me an advice on how to proceed?

Sounds like the power supply. Your local dealer or distributor should be able to repair this (exchange ps).

Thank you, RME local dealer is Midiware here in Italy, I will contact them.

Hello Matthias,
I still haven't found a way to successfully contact a local RME assistance to repair my ADI 8 Pro power supply, do you have a contact for a tech in Germany? I am located in northern Italy and I would handle the shipping costs.
